Colonel

Colonel is a chocolate sable standard Bernedoodle we’re currently seeking the right Guardian Home for. He’s around 6 months old and expected to mature around 60 lbs.

He has a really nice, balanced temperament—easygoing overall but still enjoys playtime and being part of whatever you’re doing. He’s affectionate in a calm, steady way… more of a “lean in and stay close” type than overly excitable. Think couch companion who likes to be near his people without being over the top about it.

If you’re looking for a dog that brings a relaxed presence but still has a fun side, Colonel is a great fit.

Guardian Home Requirements

To protect the health, safety, and integrity of our breeding program, Guardian families must meet the following expectations.

Location

  • Must live within one hour of Stockton, Missouri.
  • Must be willing to transport the dog to and from our home for breeding-related needs.

Safe & Secure Environment

  • A securely fenced yard, invisible fence, or approved containment system is required.
  • The dog must never be allowed to roam freely.
  • The dog must live indoors as a family companion.

Nutrition

  • The dog must remain on Royal Canin food throughout her breeding career.
  • Proper nutrition is essential for reproductive health and long-term wellness.

Veterinary & Routine Care

Guardian families are responsible for:
•   Annual wellness exams
•   Keeping all vaccinations current
•   Monthly heartworm prevention
•   Monthly flea and tick prevention
•   Routine veterinary care unrelated to breeding
•   Grooming and coat maintenance
•   Maintaining the dog in healthy physical condition

Breeding & Whelping

  • Females will come to our home approximately 7–10 days prior to their due date.
  • She will remain with us through delivery and until puppies are fully weaned.
  • We manage all breeding coordination, whelping, and puppy care during that time.

Sac River GoldenDoodles & BerneDoodles LLC covers all breeding-related veterinary expenses only.
